A dog walks on the shore line at Holkham Beach

Dog friendly holidays on the Norfolk coast

There’s no need to leave your pooch at home when you come to the North Norfolk coast on holiday. With a great mix of coastal and country walks, dog friendly restaurants and cafés aplenty, and a large range of our lodges and caravan holiday homes welcoming dogs to choose from, what more could you ask for?

North Norfolk is one of the most dog friendly holiday locations in the UK, and with so many of Pinewoods’ fabulous holiday homes and lodges welcoming dogs, as well as our touring site, it’s not surprising we see lots of waggy tails around the park!

No matter whether you’re planning a summer holiday with a young family, an autumnal walking holiday with your partner, or a celebration with friends, there’s never the need to leave your furry friend at home. Our big beaches, the Norfolk coast path, and an endless myriad of rural footpaths are calling out to be explored with your pup.

When it comes to shopping and eating out, you’ll find most business owners in North Norfolk are dog lovers themselves and keenly welcome dogs onto their premises. Browsing the independent shops and foodie haunts in Wells, Holt, Cley and along the whole coast road, is a joy.

And if you want to sit down and enjoy a delicious locally-sourced meal, you’ll find pubs and cafés throughout county that will welcome your dog (and perhaps even have a menu for them too!). You’ll often find one of our team sitting with their pooch at their feet enjoying a delicious lunch or supper at The Victoria at Holkham, one of our family businesses. Oh, and our Beach Café at Wells has donned the award multiple times for being the UK’s most dog-friendly café. Need we say more!?

So bring your lovable hound – whether big or small, timid or gregarious – with you on your holiday to Pinewoods in Wells-next-the-Sea.
