Instantly recognisable, Wells’ iconic beach huts feature in many local paintings, postcards and photography. From a beach hut you get a fantastic elevated view of the beach, the sea and the big Wells skies from early on a fresh new day right through to a spectacular sunset.
Lined-up under the pine trees, they provide you with your own private area and are just the thing for a little shelter on those scorching summer days or not so sunny blowy days! They are also a great den and hideout for the children whilst they play on the beach, and the balcony gives you a great lookout from where to keep an eye on them while you relax.

Our beach huts are equipped with two deck chairs and a windbreak. Please note there is no water, electric or gas supply to our beach huts.
Beach hut hire on Wells Beach for £65 per day
Most beach huts at Wells are in private ownership but a limited number are available to hire through us on a daily or weekly basis.
Adding a beach hut into the mix on your holiday, even as a one-off, gives you a perfect base for a long leisurely day on the beach.
Beach huts can be booked with your accommodation or touring pitch, or separately if you’re visiting Wells for the day.
Dog friendly beach hut hire in Norfolk
Wells Beach is split into a dog free and a dog friendly area, and we have beach huts in both areas.
When booking, let us know whether you’ll be bringing your dog and we’ll be able to confirm whether we have any huts in the dog friendly zone available.
Assistance dogs are welcome in the dog free zone.

We certainly think so!
On the hottest days, the breeziest days and the coolest days, it’s lovely to have a bit of shelter. A beach hut is also a place you can keep your things, whether picnic supplies, water bottles, sun cream, towels, a change of clothes, toys or games. If you want to go for a walk through the pines, along the dunes or to Wells Beach Café, you can simply lock up your hut and head off without an assortment of beach-time baggage.
You’ll have your own private spot to relax on, with stunning views over the sands. Sit back and keep a lookout on your children playing from the balcony.
A beach hut makes your day(s) on the beach that bit more easeful, so all you need to do is enjoy some mindful escapism or fun in the sun!
No. To minimise the risk of fire, the use of barbecues, fires or stoves is prohibited on the beach, dunes, in the pinewoods and on the car park.
You are, of course, welcome to bring picnics and snacks, or why not visit Wells Beach Café for hot drinks, light lunches, pizzas, cakes and plenty more?
No, you can’t, but our caravan holiday homes, luxury lodges and touring field are the closest accommodation options to Wells Beach, just a short walk away!
You can park at Beach Road Car Park – car parking charges apply. Please check the Holkham website for prices and opening times, and bear in mind that closing times will vary depending on the time of year and this may be before 9pm when the key is to be returned. The car park can get very busy at peak times.
Coaches, caravans and trailers are prohibited in the Beach Road Car Park. No overnight parking. Holkham reserves the right to close this car park for estate management reasons.
If you are staying with us at Pinewoods, you’ll have parking by your caravan holiday home, lodge or touring pitch, and you can reach the beach on foot from here. Our Beach caravan holiday homes are the closest to the sand and sea.
