Celebrating our Visit England Success

Last month, the Pinewoods and Wells Beach Bus teams were put under scrutiny during their annual Visit England Quality Assurance inspection. Such inspections determine the star rating of a holiday park, and can also result in additional awards…
A five star rating from Visit England
An inspector visits the park and thoroughly ‘peels back the layers’ of the operation including all aspects of the park’s accommodation, facilities and grounds. Inspectors give the park scores for aspects of cleanliness, grounds, facilities, reception and so on. Any park scoring 87 percent or above.
Pinewoods was already achieving five stars following the 94% score in the 2022 inspection. Now, we are pleased to share that the overall assessment score increased to 95%, not an easy feat when the score was already so high!
And a Visit England Gold Award!
Furthermore, we’re absolutely delighted to share that Pinewoods has achieved the Gold Award within its Five Star Visit England Assessment rating.
Visit England’s Gold Awards celebrate accommodation establishments that outperform in their category, offering exceptional quality within their star rating. The awards help guests find special places where hosts go the extra mile, whatever the size, style or star rating of the accommodation.
The highlight for the team was achieving 100% cleanliness across all areas of the park.
Darren, General Manager here at Pinewoods, is obviously thrilled with the news!
“This really puts Pinewoods on the map as being in the very top echelon of UK holiday parks. I am overwhelmingly proud of this achievement, demonstrating the teams relentless efforts to deliver the highest standards of service. We are privileged to operate in a business that is willing to invest in staying at the sharp end, with our recent investment in developing Curlew also positively impacting this incredible achievement.
Thank you to Pinewoods and Wells Beach Bus teams, you smashed it!
Pinewoods is a truly special place, not only for us but also recognised by our visitors and guests. I feel very lucky to call this place ‘work’.”
