Dog friendly stays
There’s no need to leave your pooch at home when you come to North Norfolk on holiday. With coastal and country walks, dog-friendly restaurants and cafés aplenty, and a large range of our lodges and caravan holiday homes welcoming dogs to choose from, what more could you ask for?
North Norfolk is one of the most dog-friendly locations in the country, and together with so many of our fabulous holiday homes and lodges welcoming dogs, it’s not surprising we see lots of waggy tails around the park.
No matter whether you’re planning a summer holiday with a young family, an autumnal walking holiday with your partner, or a celebration with friends, there’s never the need to leave your furry friend at home. Our big beaches, coast path and endless myriad of rural footpaths are calling out to be explored.
We are proud to be part of Holkham, which is only five minutes from Wells-next-the-Sea. Visit and you’ll find a 3000-acre parkland perfect for dog walks no matter the time of year. Holkham’s three cafés are also dog-friendly, as is their Walled Garden and raft of exciting events. Assistance dogs are also allowed in the Hall.
When it comes to shopping and eating out, you’ll also find most business owners in North Norfolk are dog-lovers themselves and keenly welcome dogs onto their premises. Browsing the independent shops and foodie haunts in Wells, Holt, Cley and along the whole coast road, is a joy. And if you want to sit down and enjoy a delicious locally-sourced meal, you’ll find pubs and cafés throughout county that will welcome your dog (and perhaps even have a menu for them too!). You’ll often find one of our team sitting with their pooch at their feet enjoying a delicious lunch or supper at The Victoria at Holkham, one of our family businesses. Oh, and our Beach Café at Wells has donned the award multiple times for being the UK’s most dog-friendly café. Need we say more!
So we implore you to bring your lovably hound – big or small, timid or gregarious – with you on your holiday to Pinewoods.
